Increasing Memory

Can anyone tell me how I go about increasing the memory on
my computer. I have been told to use Memory Sticks but am
not sure if this is right. I have recently upgraded my
machine to XP and would like to know if all memory sticks
are compatable. I currently have 32 mgb and would like to
increase this to as much as I can to increase speed and
performance. Your assistance would be gratefully
appreciated.

Oh my... In my opinion, you need at least 256mb to run XP properly.

You need either simm or dimm memory for most modern desktop PCs and sodimm for most
laptops. What system is you PC? Do you know the motherboard model?

Memory stick usually refers to the flash drive that sony
makes for storing photos and data and not the type of
Memory(RAM) that you need.

Windows XP will not run on a machine with only 32 mb of RAM so I
suspect that you are talking about some other aspect of your computer.

Check the amount of RAM installed in your computer by opening Control
Panel - System - General. The installed RAM will be shown near the
bottom of the window.
