Import from mozilla thunderbird

I had to use an alternate email program while I was having problems with
Outlook 2000 (solved finally). Now, I'd like to import the email from that
period into Outlook. I used Mozilla's Thunderbird. It stores email in mbox
formats that are supposed to be Eudora compatible. So, I am trying to import
into Outlook 2000 by choosing the import from Eudora option. However,
Outlook indicates that it does not recognize the format. Any ideas?
