IEXPLORE.EXE error

Matthew

When I close my IE 6.0 browser window, sometimes an error
box that says the following comes up:

IEXPLORE.EXE - APPLICATION ERROR
The instruction at "0x0018f3730" referenced memeory
at "0x0018f3730." The memory could not be "read." Click
OK to terminate the program.

When I click the OK button the box goes away and nothing
is affected as far as I can tell. What does this error
message mean and how do I prevent it from appearing in
the future?
