If i use IEradicator to remove IE explorer will this removal tool affect any of my other programs that access the internet when i reinstall IE 6??
Thank
Richar
Richard,
IEradicator is not an official tool of Microsoft. You can only use
IEradicator up to Windows 2000, SP1. So you cannot use it on Windows XP.
It will not affect any of your program, like Outlook Express, Media Player,
etc. Removing IE with IEradicator will remove all you plug-ins to IE. So
you will have to re-install Flash, Shockwave, Google Tool Bar, and any other
plug-ins.
Thanks Warren
I am mainly concerned with a program my daughter uses in college to do her work on line. She starts the program and then signs in and it goes to the internet thru my cable connection. I may have to wait to the end of this semester just to be safe. My internet also freexes up on some pages and not on others so i feel like i may have some conflicting files from IE 5.5 and IE 6.0 when i tried to install 6.0 and it stopped at 66% installation. I had to stop the installation but I am able to get connnected anyway
Thank
Richar

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/cwshredder.zip
**Post your HijackThis log to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page: http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
