My explorer has been hijacked by a data miner, My home
page was set to "Yahoo", now, even when I manually type in
yahoo, or msn or google, I get "Search-dot.com" and
another porn site.
I'm unable to fix this problem even with Ad-Aware or by
going into the registry. If anyone knows how to get rid of
this short of reinstalling windows from scratch. Please
help

Try this to repair IE 6,
Click on Start, Run, then type in sfc /scannow.
Click OK, then follow the prompts, then reboot
the computer.
OR
Navigate to the C:\Windows\Inf folder and look
for ie.inf. Right-click on this file and choose
Install. It will ask for the Windows XP CD. Reboot
the computer after it is complete. Then see if that
has fixed your problem.

Regards, Joe W.

Note: this type hijack indicates an unpatched machine, that is lacking
in "Defense". Please visit Windows Update to avoid these exploits.
