I installed Service Pack 1 (KB832894). Since this installation IE has been sporatically hanging on various web sites. It will then crash. The internet connection is maintained but no browser. Trying to reactivate IE gets no response. IE does not show up in task manager. Rebooting the system and Windows XP hangs at "saving settings" requiring a power off shut down. Anyone else having these problems? Any suggestions
Thanks.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
