Hello everyone,

Yesterday, some kind of program took over my IE 6 browser
home page (I had hotmail.com as a home page, and now IE
launches to a Search for... page at the URL about:blank,
no matter what settings I change in the Internet
Options), pops up annoying windows telling me I have
Spyware on my computer (that's news!) and then pops up
windows every time I click on anything in Hotmail and
sometimes even if I don't! I've tried using the latest
AdAware and SpyBot programs and they don't seem able to
erradicate whatever it is that is inhabiting my system.

If I go to other web sites, besides Hotmail, the popups
stop.

We looked at System Services and seem to have found one
called WebClient that will not allow itself to be turned
off.

Not sure what else to try. Can anyone help? Anyone else
having this problem?

Thank you in advance!

Ellen
