I recently used Spyware Doctor to remove a lot of spyware that had built up
on my system. After I had removed all of the spyware, every time I open IE,
Media Player, or even Mozilla Firefox, it takes about 30 seconds to open the
first webpage. After the first webpage opens, it runs just fine until I
close it and open it again. If I sit idle for longer than a few minutes, it
takes about 30 seconds to open the next website, and then it runs normally
again. I am on Cox High Speed and share a connection with another computer
through a router and I don't have any of the same problems on the other
compter. Interestingly, Outlook Express is able to access and download from
all of my email accounts including POP3 and hotmail instantly without any
delays.
When I erased all of the spyware, I made the mistake of deleting it instead
of sending it to the quarentine folder so I can't reverse what was done. I
have also tried doing numerous system restores without any luck. I even
tried repairing IE and there is still no change. Any suggestions?
