Hi. I have just completed a clean install of XP Pro. My
problem is irritating - in Windows Exporer directory tree
on the left hand side, the tree displays fine but all of
the small icons are missing. ie: +'s and -'s to expand and
collapse drives and folders, but no icons next to them to
show what they are. This is irritating as I have 10 drive
icons for partitions and DVDROM etc and it's hard to
navigate between them. Icons in the main Explorer view are
fine. This happens at any resolution, to all users
including Administrator - I can't find any settings
anywhere for this. Any ideas? Many thanks, Rich

See "The Folders Bar in Windows Explorer Does Not Contain Any Icons"

Excellent - thank you! I don't have a C:\ which is what
seems to cause the problem.

Do you know how I can make a file to run each time windows
starts, so that I don't have to do run the command
manually each time a user logs in?

Thanks again.

Just worked it out & tested fine.

Thanks again.
