I need HELP! Uninstalling and Reinstalling XP

I have been told I need to uninstall and reinstall Windows XP. The reason: I have not been able to send/receive email from Outlook 2003 for the last 3 weeks. I have found that I had 4 folders infected with Trojan Horse virus after scanning with Norton antivirus. Installed and ran Trojan Horse removal-found nothing. Frustation ensues! I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook 2003 to no avail. I beleive my last option is to uninstall and reinstall XP. HELP!!!

i had problems with outlook also so i changed to eudora i find it better not as confusing to use. soory thats all i can say

have you tried removing with adaware (from lavasoft) or spybot? What are
the trojans and what told you you had them? If its your AV and they are
gone, then you should be able to fix outlook. What is your outlook error
(post this to a group that deals with outlook not here). Reinstalling XP
just to deal with a virus or trojan is usually unneccessary...and you also
need to put the steps in place to stop it getting there again or you'll just
go through the same issue after the reinstall. Are you runninga firewall?
