hi,
my name is dr shahzad . i live in lahore , pakistan .
i am using computer & internet for the past 10 years when
i was in medical college & since then i am using microsoft
operating systems . i started with windows 95 on my
pentium 1 .
as u know very well that pirated softwares of every kind
are easily avaolable in our country & therefore it was
easy for us to buy a 50 rs cd ( 1$ ) & get our pcs
running .
there was no concept of licenced mirosoft windows
operating systems .
similarly i used win98 , win 2k & win xp for a long time .
NO PROBLEM atall .
last year i decided to buy a licenced os & therefore after
searching a little bit & getting the list of authorized
microsoft certified partners , i decided to buy windows xp
home edition oem version from one of the microsoft
certified partner . this is habib rafiq technologies in
lahore . the price is 5000 rs ( 100$ ) . i used this
product for one year & believe me i was very happy to use
a clean , nice & stable os .
my product # is windows xp home edition oem product , 0601
part no.x08-33941 ( written on the cd ) , x08-54518 (
certificate of authenticity ) & another # : 00043-410-911-
200.
a few days back my os got crashed & i reinstalled my os to
get this message that my product key is no more valid .
so i decided to contact my vendor & realized this soon
that microsoft has cancled the habib rafiq registration .
& i am not getting any sort of key . who is to blame ?????
when i was sold the product , i was told nothing about the
activation procedure , about the type of oem & its
difference from the full product .
i believe that i was doing right previously while i was
using pirated software . now u tell me what is right .
i hope i will get some response & my writings will not be
wasted in a bin .
thanks
dr shahzad

As long as you bought a valid Windows XP OEM license, it will activate
as long as it is on the same computer.
There is no limit to how many times it can be reinstalled on the same
computer.
Otherwise choose the option to activate by phone.
