i can't find my delete button to delete messages in microsoft outl

Can someone please tell me how to get my delete button back in microsoft
outlook so I can delete messages.

I assume you mean on the Standard Toolbar?
Right-click on the Standard Toolbar and choose Customize. Then select the
Toolbars tab and the Standard toolbar in the Customize dialogue and click
"Reset".

Note that you can delete items by pressing the Delete keyboard key or by
right clicking on the item and choosing Delete.
