Hyperlinks breaking

I have a ppt presentation (v.2003). I wanted to create a hyperlink to a 1
page word document - which I can do.

However when I close the ppt and reopen it the hyperlink won't work. A
message appears saying " .. The address of this site is not valid. Check the
address and try again"

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Try File, Document Properties. Is there any text in the Hyperlink Base box? If
so, delete it.
