Recently after upgrading to Windows XP I have a hum in my speakers.
have nice speakers with a PD250 which I use to listen to cd's. Ther
is a continuous hum in the speakers when the music is not playing an
can be heard if the music is soft. Suggestions would be muc
appreciated

It may be caused by electrical interference from something near your PC or
the receiver, if you're using one. Look for cordless phones, fans,
microwaves, etc. that are close to your sound equipment.

HTH, JAX

I also get a hum when I have the pc volume too low and the manual speaker
volume jacked way up to compensate..
