I installed the Windows XP Home Edition. In my program files listing I
have accessories, communications, and Hyperterminal. But when you select
Hyperterminal it says empty.
I went to add/remove programs, windows components and under
communications I do not see hyperterminal. Is it no longer offered as
part of windows?
I also went tothe XP disk I have and selected add components and cant
see Hyperterminal. I do however see folks on the internet talking about
it and win 29999 and XP. iS IT NOW A SEPARATE PROGRAM UYOU HAVE TO BUY?
iS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO ACCESS YOPUR MODEM DIRECTLY WITH ANOTHER
TERMINAL PROGRAM?

There's no need to shout and get excited. I've never had a problem
installing Hyperterminal from the Windows Components, but maybe your
OEM (HP, Dell, whatever) didn't include it. Just go download the free
version from here:
