Hi, GL.
Is possible to leave a form unlock and make it
it available in design view
before or after a database is made as an MDE file?
Yes, but there are limitations in the types of design changes one can make
to a form in an MDE database file. For example, one cannot add or delete
controls, nor change one type of control into another type, such as a text
box into a combo box. One can, however, move controls around, change colors,
resize things, and alter many of the properties in the Properties dialog
window.
What changes did you have in mind? Access developers don't generally make
changes to the MDE file, because the MDE file is intended as the application
interface that users can work with without altering the design, either
inadvertently or intentionally. If you've lost the MDB file, then that's a
different story. You have no choice but to make the changes to the MDE file.
