How to change "Open in new window" IE6 default

IE6 has started to automatically open all new sites in a
new window, which is incredibly frustrating. I do not
know what setting I have changed that has made IE6 start
functioning this way. Can anyone advise me where I can
reset IE so that new sites and screens just open in the
same window. I have checked through IE's help function,
but cannot find anything that will help.

Andy,
Open IE and go to TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS and then
hit the ADVANCED tab at the top and scroll down till you see
"REUSE windows for launching shortcuts and make sure there
is a check in front of it and then hit APPLY and OK
HTH.

Hi, I've had the same problem as Andy, and my settings are correct as you've
got below but I still get a new window each time I click on a hyperlink
that's outside IE. This has only happened since Office was updated to 2003.
