Hello I'm trying to emulate a feature that exists in
Publisher 2003.
In Pub2003 when you click on the icon to insert a picture
frame it allows you to position the outline and
dimensions of the frame. When you double-click inside
that frame it takes you to your picture gallery. When you
click on INSERT it imports the picture resized to fit
INSIDE the frame that you created irrespective of its
original size.

In Powerpoint the same feature exists but when I double
click on the same picture , it comes in but it does not
resize itself to fit inside the frame that I created.
It comes in larger than the frame and I manually have to
resize it to fit.

Since I shall be doing this quite frequently i'd prefer
that it comes in already resized.

Can I make it behave in the same way as it does in
Publisher without having to write a macro.

Thank you

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the feature (insert Picture Frame) that you are
looking for.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
