how do you enter data in new customer created field in email



I have created a cusotom field in Outlook mail called "job/ref #". It shows
up when I look at inbox and sent views. The problem is I cannot find a way
to enter data into it. I want to use this field to assist in sorting and
filing emails. I understand all of the various options in the canned system
for sorting but it would be better for the way I manage email if I could also
utilize this field.
