I have Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003. I have turned off the filter option
and it still moves messages to the junk mail folder. Is there another way to
stop this?

It will still work for the srnders you've got in the Blocked List. Also the
filtering could be done at Exchange level. Contact your e-mail admin for
more info on this.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

I also get this popup..."The Junk E-mail Filter is not available for your
Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail account because you are wokrin online. To
enable the Junk E-mail Filter for this account, switch to the Cashed Exchange
Mode." ...when I try to modify/disable the junk email filter. My Exchange
admin says he is not filtering for spam, he has an outside service do it
prior to our recieving it.

This also happens to new (to Outlook 2003) profiles, but didn't happen with
Outlook XP. Any other ideas?
thanks
Dave

unless you are using cached mode (the alert indicates you are not) - the
junk filter doesn't work. Do you have something from mcafee or Symantec
installed that could be filtering it?

will likely happen with new outlook profiles because default is cached
mode - disable it from a new profile.

I don't have spam filtering turned on in the symantec AV client, however, on
the Exchange server I am getting log entries for spam from these domains on
the Symantec Exchange server AV program. It looks like the AV is marking the
message with a high score that Exchange interperts as spam and then moves to
the junk email folder. I'll read up on the Symantec program to clarify.
Does this sound correct?

Symantec has Document ID:2004041515485054 in the KB that explains the issue
and resolution. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
