How do I prevent minimized internet exlorer windows from popping up?

I usually hace multiple browser windows open at the same time and switch between them as I wait for the various pages to download. Recently, I started having problems with browser windows popping back up right after I minimized them. Is there some way to prevent this? It is more annoying than the pop-up ads

Hi there,

Do not use the taskbar to swap between windows. Minimise the loading window
(using the minimise button in the top right hand corner of the IE window).
That should sort your problems out.

I have tried that, but the window I just minimized, pops right back up, usually about half-way thru the first sentence

Any more ideas

First sentence? Are we talking about the same programme?

If Google Group's thread frame is an example of what you are waiting for
your only recourse will be to disable Active Scripting. (Security tab option.) Minimizing the window will not avoid the script
function which
causes the refresh. This has been discussed before long ago.
