How do I assign 1 task to many people and have the task updated?

I'm looking to create a task and assign it as a group task.

Each member of the group has the same task to do, i.e. read a new piece of
information.

I'd then like to be able to monitor this task to see who's completed it.

I can do this individually, however I'm unable to monitor each individual
action in a group tasking - has anyone got any ideas?

If you want an updated copy on your task list , you'll need to make a new
assigned task for each person. Outlook only has a single field %complete
and complete so it can't keep updates that come from multiple people
relating to a single task.
