How can I get word to accept 1/3 as a fraction in autoformatting?

I am trying to type out recipes, and autoformatting accepts 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4
as a fraction, but it will not accept 1/3, 2/3, etc. How can I get it to
accept it and make it a smaller number as it does for 1/2?
