When I restart my computer, my homepage has changed. I
reset it but it just keeps happening. I have tried
everything to solve this and am at a dead end. Also
unwanted websites are posted to my favorites and
sometimes unwanted websites pop up on my screen.

You have a browser hijacker on your system, and probably other spyware
as well. Remove this malware with Spybot Search & Destroy from
www.security.kolla.de and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure to
update these programs before running them. These programs are free, and
you should run them both since they complement each other. It is best
to run antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode. Of course, you
should also have a current (post-2002 version using updated
definitions) antivirus installed. If you don't have one, you should get
one asap.

You, my friend, have been introduced to either a worm,
virus, or more than likely, spyware. Had that same problem
from spyware, but could have virus also. So....
1. Update virus software and run virus scan
2. Uninstall programs that drop spyware (Gain, Gator,
Kazaa, junk like that!)
3. Add/ Remove Programs- uninstall useless junk (MySearch,
My Web, Pop up blockers and similar programs that aren't
from Google, Yahoo, or MSN/ Microsoft and any other program
you don't recognize)
4. Change your homepage
5. Download.com- get yourself a heaping helping of Spybot
Search & Destroy (it's free). Install that and run it!
Cleans out the ole Registry for ya.....Run "Check for
Problems", check all the things other than Microsoft stuff
and "Fix the Problem"(you can highlight each registry entry
and find out where it came from but don't click any web
addresses!!!)
Hopefully this fixes you up.....Get Norton Firewall and
Antivirus....works for me, just keep it updated.. and this
will never happen again.
