Home or Pro - the resources usage aspect

Resource usage is about equal when comparing XP Pro with XP Home.
Using some of XP Pro's exclusive components, such as IIS, will use
slightly more resources. If you have at least 512MB of RAM installed,
you'll hardly notice any difference.

For the average home user, Windows XP Home Edition is the best choice.

XP Professional and XP Home are exactly the same in all respects,
except that Professional has a few features (mostly related to
networking and security) missing from Home.

Resource use should be identical if you use the same features. If
you use addition Windows XP Professional features, then resource
use will of course go up.
