Hidden File Deleting

How do I delete a hidden file? Norton came up with an adware in Downloaded
Program Files but the delete failed.

Safe mode?
Change it to where you see hidden files/folders?
Be more specific (if you can) about what and where it found the item in
question as well as versions of software you are running.
 
The adware was found in C:/WINDOWS/DownloadedProgramFiles and it is
MP3Search.exe.
It can't be deleted in safe mode and when I check to show hidden files it
does not show.
I know there is a way through "run" but I can not remember the path.
