I tried to run scan disk, and it said needs full
access....do you want to run it at restart. I replied
yes, then at restart it said can not open file and run
scan disk, scan disk complete. It won't run scan disk
and everytime I start the computer it tries but says the
same thing. Can someone please give me a suggestion on
how to fix this problem. Thanks.

It's a known issue, here's a workaround . . .

Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. Then
type in:
chkntfs /x c: , and hit enter. Reboot your computer.

[This disables CHKDSK from running on drive C:]

copied it from . . .)

Good Luck !

If you have Zone Alarm installed uninistall it and try
again.

Wrong. If you have ZA 5 installed there MAY be an issue, but earlier
editions of ZA work just fine and don't interfere with chkdsk, thank
you very much.

Gosh excuse me fag, so glad there are computer scientists
around like yourself to correct the rest of us.

You'd do well here to NOT react in this manner to corrections from
others. Everyone makes mistakes. Learn from them.

This thread went to hell with top posters ruining it!Aanyway, you did
originally say ZA, and didn't specify the 5 version, steve only corrected
you on that. To generlize ZA (w/o version specs) would have users removing
earlier ZA versions needlessly, maybe causing other issues when they have
reinstall it again. Your first reaction was gormless, and reactionary, yet
you react again as if steve was like you are now and was ther first time.

Chill out and have fun helping :-) !!!

Nice reply, potty-mouth. I bet you are a real joy to be around when
you are proven wrong. I suppose everybody who points out your errors
is automatically a "fag?"

Grow up. Learn to accept criticism before you get an ulcer and/or
stroke out.

I didn't say anything about your post being wrong, I was addressing your
crass attitude in the hopes that you'd understand something you are
apparently incapable of comprehending. Sorry I wasted my time on you.
