I have an intel(R) 82801db/dbm USB universal Host Controller and have all the windows updates but my comp. doesn't seem to recognize USB scanner nor let me scan any pictures or documents. I thought the update for this was in one of the service packs but I can't seem to download them via the windows update as it seems I have already downloaded it. I can't find the new drivers via driver update as none are found on my comp. Any help or more info would be appreciated

Did you scanner ever work? What is the make and model? You should look
on the mftr.'s website for drivers, not Windows Update.

The scanneris a visioneer junktouch I mean onetouch, I found the problem and it wasn't the scanner, I updated the intel drivers from the Dell site as that was the problem...spent all day researching it. If memory serves the scanner worked previously also. Thank you for replying though.
