HELP?! Update.inf and Cryptographic Service errors??

I'm trying to download/install the latest WinXP service
pack but get the following error message:

"Setup could not verfiy the integrity of the file
Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is
running on this computer."

I have WinXP Home Edition that came pre-installed with my
PC. Don't know what to do. Help! You're assistance is
greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jonathan,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the
catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the SP1 installation. When finished,
there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete the old
renamed one.
