Hi,

XP pack2, Compaq Deskpro, Pent II, 348Mhz, 128 MB of RAM
Help & Support plus System Information do not work any more, when I click on either, HelpCtr.exe appears in Task Manager and hung there, then disappears after a few seconds.

Any idea?

I have recently installed Help Workshop. Could that be the cause?

TIA

I ran a small utility - MJ's Help Diagnostics - from there:
http://www.helpware.net/downloads/#MJs
this file was not registered for some reason: C:\WINDOWS\system32\hhctrl.ocx

Works fine now.
MJ's Help Diagnostics offered to re-register the ocx and all is A-OK

Hope that helps,
