Please Help! I am trying to install Windows XP on a new system that I built.
Here is my configuration:

AMD FX-53 ASUS SK8V mobo MSI RX800 PRO-VTD256
2BG RAM 16x DVD-ROM Floppy Drive
2 x 74gb SATA Western Digital Raptors Hard drives in RAID 0 with VIA setup
Windows XP Media Center Edition OEM w/SP2

I have just assembled my system, and I am trying to install XP. I have the
floppy for the SATA/RAID drivers ready to go, and when the option comes up
for the F6 key to be presses, nothing happens. I have tried tapping F6 a
single time, holding the key down, tapping it repeatedly, tapping SOS in
morse code, everything I can think of. The next prompt to come up is to hit
F2 for error recovery, and that key works perfectly fine. I have tried
switching out 3 different keyboards with no luck. I tried putting in a copy
of my Windows XP Home CD and the same error occurred.

What could possibly be causing this, and is there some way to circumvent
this problem? Could this be a physical problem with my motherboard? Any
help would be greatly appreciated!!!

You hit it once and it takes a while, but it should get you to a screen
where you choose what driver you need. It's not an immediate response.

On some Keyboards you have to press the F-Lock Key then press F6. My
Microsoft Natural keyboard is like that.

Doh.... Actually, thanks! Your response made me rethink why things aren't
working. I'm been reaching this screen where it asks for me to press S to
load a driver, but the disk I had wouldn't load them correctly. I kept
thinking that this was a different screen than the F6 one would be, but after
experimenting a bit, it IS the F6 screen. So, I examined the next possible
error, and made a new drivers disk. Now, XP is loading as I am typing!

Thanks for the help!
