A simple thing to find you would think, not so, certainly not in sydney. Plenty of multi input one outputs models but I want to switch between HDMI-DVI for monitor and HDMI to projector from laptop, hence one in, 2 out.

Any ideas on brands/models I can look for out here in Auz?

Thanks,
Neil.

Just to clarify, you have a laptop where you want to alternate between sending video out to a monitor and a projector?

What output and input sockets does each component have?

Yes.

Laptop out - HDMI, VGA
Monitor in - VGA, DVI, currently HDMI to DVI, VGA picture is rubbish
Projector - HDMI, VGA, RGB - am guessing HDMI to HDMI is best connection method?

If no difference between HDMI and VGA for a projector then could hook up both and run as a dual monitor, though maybe not a great idea for a POS GPU that has already been replaced twice for overheating?
