Hello

Just a quick question if anyone can please help!

My computer/properties/C: Shows that there is approx 5.5Gb used up on my HD,
however the files and folders I have installed only take up approx 3Gb.

Is the difference the space taken up by System Restore files?

I've looked at the System Restore settings, and it's set to max HD usage
which is approx 2.35Gb, which is about right if that's what it is!

Each restore check point takes 200mb of HD space.Having
this set to max is a waste of space if you install a
program or turn on your computer and it has a problem why
do you need to restore to the begining of last month?
Yesterday, when your system was running fine is just as
good no?

No. And simply because some problems don't show up for a week or so such as
intermittent problems.
