Having both users active is creating a problem

Recently, I've discovered a problem that is making our comptuer go haywire.
I have two users on the computer. When both are active, when I look at the
Task Manager, there are processes that are running like crazy. Usually,
there are around 60-70 processes running normally. This process which has
the title deskadserve.exe and deskadhelp.exe keep running and running,
ballooning the processes up to around 200, then go back to the usual 60-70,
then starts ballooning again. After a few minutes of this, it stops, but
then I get error messages that state that those specific processes couldn't
be run.

So, after having to delete those message boxes about 150-200 times (I lost
count), our screen resolution gets out of whack. It goes down to the lowest
setting, and the icons get bigger, even when I do fix the resolution.

Next, when I get everything under control, I get a message when I switch
user that my user has been locked and asks for a password. I don't have a
password!! I never installed one. This locking problem may only last a
minute or two, then allows me to switch user or log off.

Now, bit of information. This stuff started after I had downloaded
patches for a computer game (which didn't work anyway). What I did was go
out to the Add/Remove Programs and delete all the stuff that was added from
that download. I chose everything from that specific date that had been
installed.

I'm almost positive I didn't erase any drivers, etc.

Would anyone be able to explain what those deskadserve and deskadhelp
processes were? Is this saying I've accidentally deleted a file that I
shouldn't have, and it's trying to find it? And why does the screen
components keep messing up?

The computer runs fine when only one user is active, and I did run a
scandisk, the defragmenter and the Norton anti-virus, not knowing what else
to do. I haven't tried to log onto the other user at this time. I'm a bit
hesitant.

When I go out to the drivers, everything seems in order. I'm just a bit
irritated and baffled by this annoying problem.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks!

When you get malicious spyware/adware installed there is no way to predict
the damage it can do to the system. Even if it is completely removed,
corruption and unexpected behavior can remain.

Your best strategy is to consult an expert and let them take a look at what
is happening to the system. Go to the following website,

"Parasites - Adware, Spyware & Other Scumware" forum and post a detailed
explanation of your problem
for expert advice and guidance on how to clean your system.
