Go back to previously viewing worksheet using macro

Would you please offer advice on the following situation

I would like to add 1 hyperlink to each of 10 worksheets. All these hyperlinks link to one worksheet
Since this 1 worksheet functions like a 'quick reference', it would be great if the user could go bac
to the worksheet he was previously using with a click of a button, no matter which worksheet that was

Note: the user might type something in the 'reference' sheet before wanting to go back

Attempts have been made to write a macro for this...and it would only go to the first worksheet to the
left of the 'quick reference' sheet

Any assistance much appreciated

Goe,

Have you tried using the 'back' button on the web toolbar?
That should be automatically compiling a history of the hypelin
navigations

Thank you very for the advice, Kieran! How can i miss that tool bar out

I wonder if earlier versions of Excel (pre-Excel 2000) have that tool bar? Since colleagues using that spreadshee
might have earlier versions. If not i'll need to find another way round it
