Hi Guys,
I reinstalled Win XP but it kinda went wrong i think.
I opted for a new installation because i only wanted the windows files and
system files and that but it still left program files so i tried again and
still had no luck no i have a choice of choosing from three OS's at startup.

I reformatted my partition to a NTFS and still the files were there. And i
have two sets of Windows folders WINDOWS & WINDOWS2

How can i reinstall Win XP from the CD on my main partition with only the
main files if you get me.

Thanks very much

I hope im making sense!!!

You need to delete all existing partitions, create a new partition,
format the new partition NTFS, then install Windows XP.

Follow these excellent instructions:

After doing that, you will have 2 or more windows choices showing in the
windows start up choices (as it's booting up). That doesn't actually mean you
have windows installed more than once. You can go into the advanced section
of your system settings dialog, choose the system startup section, and
manually edit the startup file to delete the extra listings.

thanks guys ive done it and its working fine now
just a pain installing everything again
thanks alot
