I have XP Pro and am finding that it constantly eats away at my hard drive. Are there any files that XP writes to the temp folders which can no longer be used and safe to delete. I frequently clear up my Internet Explorer temp files, cookies and history. But is there anything else that I can do? I have also removed all the programs that I no longer use and still find problems with available disk space.

I was watching something eating up 1.5 to 2 GB a day even
when I kept doing everything you are doing. Did you have
a time before it was doing this, you could try a system
restore at that safe point. Our hard drive had to be
purged/erased completely because a "time bomb" worm had
corrupted the OS and was writing random data to the hard
drive.
