Free Laptop...

Hi all,

I got a FREE laptop from Dell today, my old dell laptop had to go bck to them 6 times,

so today they replaced it:

New PC: Dell Inspiron 510m

Pentium M 2.0 Ghz
40 GB Hard drive
256MB RAM
15" SXGA Screen
DVD + RW Drive (RRP: £1,639)
Carry Case etc...
3 YR On site, next day warrenty

Old PC: Dell inspiron 5100

Pentium 4 2.66 GHz
30 GB Hard Drive
256 MB RAM
15" XGA Screen
CD-RW/DVD Combo (RRP: £1,039 1 Year ago!)
1 YR CAR Warrenty

Maybe Dell arnt so bad!

£600 for free!

woah that seems alot as i just bought a laptop at 2.8, with 512 ram, for 1,200 with a printer and loads of software. hmmm, im confused, are you sure the rrp is that much?

yeah congrats on your ne laptop, i love them :)

I just looked it up on Dells website, i put in all the details as if i was going to buy it, then it said: £1,639! what make is your laptop?

And what make processor?

Sorry, i just looked it up! Pentium mobile 2.0 GHz is the same as a P 4 at about 4.0 GHz

P 4/m is more expensive than AMD.

i also got a load more free stuff from dell:

software, carry case, wireless network card, 3 yr NBD warrenty etc...

PS. i have another 'stick' of RAM to go in, to make it up to 512, i bought this for my old laptop..

ooo dont you feel special, congrats on your nice laptop, no scratches etc, please do the ram yourself and dont break it.


seems you got a good deal mate, look after it.

I put t RAM in, no probs.

I have had it for 1 1/4 days and i aint killed it yet,

must be a world reccord (only kidding!)

good, i know a place that charges £15 to put it in so your lucky you have the power my friend :)
