FOUND NEW HARDWARE WIZARD

My printer can not be left connected to my laptop for
obvious reasons, my laptop does not stay stationary!
Everytime I connect the usb cable to my laptop I have to
go through the whole 'found new hardware' wizard and
cancel everything out. Is there anyway to stop XP from
doing this with my printer?
 
Come on, you leave that cable connected and tug that
printer along too! :-)

This is wierd, what printer is this? It sounds like a
driver issue to me. I'm using an HP 990c USB printer and
don't have this problem.

I'd check with the printer manufacturer and see what they
say about this. It may be a motherboard/bios/driver
issue.
