* for Bold and _ for Italics

Somewhere along the line I learned you can bold or italicize text by
bracketing the text with either the * or _ characters. And, I'd swear that I
once saw this feature in Tools/Options. However, if I'm using a computer that
doesn't have this feature turned on, I can't find it under Options.

Is it really there, and if so, where?

Tools>AutoCorrect Options ...
AutoFormat As You Type (tab)
'Replace as you type' (top section)
'*Bold* and _italic_ with real formatting' (CHECK the box)

Appreciate the help. Really drives me crazy not to be able to bold stuff with
the asterisk. Thanks, Mate. :)
