Font help wanted Please

Hi,

I am doing a freebie web site and found out that it has to be in Latvian
and Russian as well as English. I am receiving translation in MS word
and they have the proper form. But when I cut and paste them in my web
editor they loose nearly all of the pronunciation marks.

Does any one know how to get the fonts, install them and use them?

You need to use either Microsoft Word or Microsoft Frontpage as your html editor to get copy and paste work as desired. If you have WordPerfect Office then this can be used as well. Otherwise you have to play with various types of fonts which is a pain in the arse.

Depending on how much text is there, you could save your text as .gif format and link this in your webpage. I don't think this would be a practical solution.

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.

I believe in good Financial Management!! I do not believe in enriching rich jerks!

Thanks for the tip. The translation I received is in MS Word format. When I saved it as a web page it didn't look anything like the original translation.

Why would you ask russian and fascist (ie lativian) question in English groups. Ask in Russian groups.

You need to describe that more presize because it makes *huge*
difference - really you want to have 3 _separate_ pages and not
Russian, Latvian and Englihs on the same page...

It depends what Web editor you use - usually it *has to* be
tuned-up for non-Western development.

Anyway, please read a section of my site called
"For developers: Cyrillic HTML" - the same is applicable
to Latvian pages in windows-1257 encoding, too.

Also, for Copy/Paste you *need* to read Chapter 2 "Copy/Paste"
of the "Unicode related issues" section of my site.
