I can connect my Samsung camcorder to my PC(Windows XP)
via my Firewire port(IEEE 1394 OHCI)and using the
camera/scanner wizard I can run a preview of the video
and select snapshots for storing/printing.However,if I
try to run Windows Movie Maker nothing happens until
after about a minute a pop up box appears saying that
Movie Maker does not recognise the output of my capture
device (Firewire card)or that it is in use by another
application(which it isn't).It then goes on to suggest
that I configure the output to a suitable format, but I
can't find an option for doing this.Everything I have
read about Movie Maker so far suggests that it should
just plug and play.I am running DirectX 9.0b.Any ideas as
to what problem might be.All I really want to do is
transfer my video to file for recording to CD. Any help
greatly appreciated.
