Hi group,

I want to export a table to a *.txt file using a specification created on
access.
This specification appears when exporting using
FILE -> EXPORT -> txt, csf.. -> ADVANCED -> SPECIFICATION.
How can I do that by code? Is there anyway?

Thanks,
Rodolfo Fontes

Alex,

Are any file to save this specifications?
I wanna load it in another computer.

Thanks,
Rodolfo Fontes

When I open specification there is nothing there.
How do I add a specification?
What is commonly done with a specification?

Sharp,

You can use specifications to export/import a file
For example:
20040119RodolfoNewsMicrosoft
Using a specification you can import it from a text file, to a table, and it
will be stored on the right field, like that:
2004 01 19 Rodolfo News Microsoft
Or something like that.
The process is the same if you wanna export it from a table to a file.
You can save you own specifications, to do not repeat always the values for
initial position and size.

Michael,

I have used the specifications to import files every month where the layout
never changed. They save a lot of time if you will be importing data
frequently that has the same layout.

My specification list is empty.
How do I add one?

Cheers
