I am running XP Pro and have received a Excel Spreadsheet
XLS which I cannot open, What do I use to open it and
where do I get it from?

Steve,

Specifically what happens or doesn't happen when you open the workbook?

You mean you don't have excel? I think microsoft has
viewers you can download to just look at them.

Steve

XP Pro is your Windows OS I presume. It does not come with Excel.

You can purchase Excel as a stand-alone product
or as part of the MS Office Suite.

If all you need to do is view the file(s) without editing..........

You can download an Excel viewer from here....

http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/xlviewer.aspx

It will allow you to View and/or Print Excel workbooks without having Excel
installed.

Instructions at site.
