everything is so slow

please could some1 tell me y my comp is so slow opening
and closing documents? my hard drive memory is half full
so what could it b and how do i solve it? i have recently
installed broadband if that helps

If you recently installed broadband: are you sufficiently protected
(firewall, antivirus, antispyware etc.), if not you may very well have
fallen victim to a virus & co.
Check microsoft.com homepage and follow the advice on the "3 steps to
protect your computer". If that doesn't help, get some antispy software like
spybot search and destroy or adaware etc. (a google will get you there)
