Hi, I've recently removed spyware from my computer, specifically VX2 BetterInternet and my browser doesn't show some web pages. I've installed InternetExplorer again and this problem continues. I don't get an error message but the browser hangs up trying to load the page (not that hangs without responding)

I had to unload 2 dll's BI.dll & better.dll. Could this have affected to the Os (Win 2000)? I mean corrupted some important files?

I have the same problem this is all I could find on our
little spyware piece of crap.

I've found out a command to check corrupted dll's you need your Windows CD

sfc /scanno

maybe it'll work, hope so!

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

charlye28,
Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Post back with the URL where you posted if you want help with your log.
