error when pasting into word

When I try to cut and paste some thing from the internet word just hangs up ?
no message no nothing it just stops!

any one help

I am running Norton antivirus security?
 
If you are trying to paste a large amount from the internet, you may not have
enough memory. If you are tring to paste just text, try "paste special"
option and select "unformatted text".
