I have been receiving critical system error messages after
adding more ram to my (AMD Duron 850, 266 FSB, 128MB SDRAM)
system. I am within the system requirements on memory
(256MB)SDRam (pc/133). The event log error indicates
system error catagory 102 ID 1003.
I am relatively certain that the new memory is the same
type as the existing ram 168 pin 128MB pc/133. The system
works fine with either the new memory only or just the
original 128MB stick. But restarts frequently and
generates the above mentioned error messages when both
sticks of ram are installed.

HELP!!!

Thanks,
Reggie

Windows XP is extremely fussy about matching memory. Being the
same type is often not good enough. It wants *everything* to be
the same, even the brand.

If it works with either stick, but not both, it's very likely
that your problem is that they are not perfectly matched.

Easy, your new ram doesn't like it's bed partner.
