Error Message on Start up

I keep on getting an error message when I start up Windows XP Prof.
My screensaver / icons appear and then I get "run-time error 53".
How do I fix the problem ?
I have an history eraser program that runs on start up.
Never had a problem with it before.

Disable the "History eraser" and try again.

There was an entry in the register that was pointing to a file that I had deleted.
