Hello!
You are nicely infected.
Please open your HijackThis again and choose Do a system scan only.
Now tick these entries:

O2 - BHO: ads_optimizer - {26E45419-7205-4fac-BBFE-174BC7337A79} - C:\Windows\system32\nsq373A.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: Adssite Toolbar - {41C29B07-6F91-4966-91BE-2E2841643C83} - C:\Program Files\Adssite Advanced Toolbar\toolbar.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hid_start] C:\Windows\System32\Rundll32.exe "C:\Windows\system32\gzmrotate.dll" DllVerify
O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [Launcher] %WINDIR%\SMINST\launcher.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [CollaborationHost] C:\Windows\system32\p2phost.exe -

When ticked, close all opened windos except HijackThis and click Fix.

Spybot S&D is available from here.

Download and Install Spybot S&D (if you haven't already), accept the Default Settings
In the Menu Bar at the top of the Spybot window you will see Mode.
Make certain that 'Default Mode has a check mark beside it.
Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to 'Search for Updates' then download and install the updates.
-----------------------------
Next click the button 'Check for Problems'
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing 'RED' entries bold 'BLACK' entries and 'GREEN' entries in the window
Make certain there is a check mark beside all of the RED entries ONLY.
Choose 'Fix Selected Problems' and allow Spybot to fix the RED entries.

Go here and scroll to find the orange bar Remove CoolWebSearch. Click on it and save cwshredder.exe on your desktop and have it ready to use.
Don't use it yet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now run cwshredder.
Click Scan only and fix what ever it finds and click exit.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

Next post: New HijackThis log and SDFix report.

p2phost.exe -s ... = is the Vista "Windows Meeting Space" ... a feature of Windows Vista that enhances computer-based meetings and collaboration between users.

Do not get HJT to fix it, it ain't a nastie ... turn it off if you don't actually use it.

http://technet2.microsoft.com/Windo...f742-4abe-b997-af369eb9a18a1033.mspx?mfr=true

Also ... this is an HP system, SMINST\launcher.exe may indeed be a legitimate program pre-installed by HP related to PC Angel recovery program from SoftThinks.

"SoftThinks is the industry leader in Software Deployment and Recovery solutions.

Dedicated to providing state-of-the-art software to some of the largest OEMs in desktops, notebooks and tablet PCs, SoftThinks mission is to provide simple effective solutions to meets the needs of all OEMs.

Founded in 2000, SoftThinks has grown rapidly to support a portfolio of the world’s largest companies in the computer industry.

HP, Compaq, eMachines, Gateway, ViewSonic, Alienware, Best Buy, MicroCenter, Dixon, ZT Group, Seneca Data, Tatung and many more are part of the SoftThinks family of OEMs."
it looks like it is software to do with the 3rd party trial and other OEM software that came pre-installed on your Vista computer. Which means that it probably isn't a malware infection of any sort.

However the softthinks site doesn't give too much away and says nothing about the launcher.exe program. Is there anything else in that C:\Windows\SMINST folder that could give a clue, eg a ReadMe, or any other txt file?

Momentum, please check before deleting this entry in HJT.

Go have a look at the "decrapifier" program if you want assistance on removing preloaded software such as Softthink's program.

Hi again, just one question before to proceed.
I have TrendMicro internet security system which already has anti-spyware. My question is... if I download Spybot S&D would it produce any crash with the antispyware that I already have from TrendMicro ?
I thank you so much for your cool help

Hurray!

At last the- Error loading C:\windows\system32\gzmrotate.dll- specified module not found- is gone
It wasn't so hard following your much appreciated and clear instructions, however there was only one step from the list I could not conclude, that was doing the SDFix. When I needed to type Y as to start the cleanup process the screen wont allow to type it as it only remains open for less than a second, it closes by itself immediately. I tried downloading it several times but the same thing happened.

Anyway, the problem is solved and I thank you so much GameMaster & Muckshifter
So Many Thanks Amigos

I'm a 99% sure that the entry which caused the problem was:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hid_start] C:\Windows\System32\Rundll32.exe "C:\Windows\system32\gzmrotate.dll" DllVerify
I know this as I missed it ticking it when doing the HijackThis at the first time and the error still persisted when finishing the whole process on the first attemp. I mention this in case it could be of help.

I kept the entries you suggested me to keep. Thank you so much Muckshifter.

Thank you so much for your professional help
I wish one day I'd be as wise as you.

Many thanks

Hey there. I am not sure if I should post this here, but I am having a similar problem, pretty much exactly the same, same error box etc, but the file is "ibrmvtpa.dll" A google search brings nothing up about this file. I have done a HijackThis scan and was hoping to find the same thing as Momentum had, just with a different name, but haven't been able to. When it first popped up, I would click 'OK' and then AVG would give me an trojan warning about 'Vundo.U' and I could either fix, ignore or put it in the vault. I first tried fixing it, and then everything started closing, so I turned my computer off, so when it restarted, I put it in the vault, and now the error is still there, but not as violent at the moment. AVG doing a full scan found that trojan in 3 different Temp Internet files, so I will be deleting those.

Here is me HijackThis report:
